Wow nice, still using a Pixel 4a as my daily driver!
*edit: meh, my 4a is not eligible

It’s very privacy focused but if sites break you can turn of fingerprinting protection and thing like that in the settings with one click.
Great browser

Exactly!
I am in the same boat right now. I still use a Pixel 4a. It’s a great device, has exactly the size and performance I need, perfect condition but I don’t get updates anymore. It’s insane that in a time where resources get a real problem this is still allowed. If they can’t support it at least force them to open source the software/drivers or something.
Yeah my exact thoughts. Repairable phones are mostly useless if the vendor blobs don’t get updated anymore after x years. Until we have an open ecosystem, as we have on desktop PCs, repairable phones are only good on paper.
Same here and I don’t even use the search that much. Love it
Exactly, well said.
Pixel 4a gang checking in. We should create a club!

Does anybody know for how many years this device gets system / security updates?
Sadly there are no options. I don’t really need a new phone, the hardware is still fine for me but not getting any updates sucks. At some point I might have to bite the bullet and get the 8a or something.
Pixel 4a checking in. 🙂
Subscription feed works and if you can see this, posting as well. :)
Thanks!
Hey thanks for the update.
I noticed the subscription feed in old.lemmy.zip doesn’t work anymore. It shows the same content as “all” does.
I also couldn’t make this comment from old.lemmy.zip
I have the same as a secondary device. It’s getting slow tho. :)
Have a look at https://www.picoctf.org/
They have a lot of challenges and resources to get you started.
There is absolutely no way 25% is realistic in this scenario, it’s most likely, as you said, a certain characteristic/feature is interpreted/skipped/handled differently by WINE.
go to about:config
search for browser.translations
You can either disable it completely or just disable the popup.
Yes, I used it the last three month but stopped now, it’s nice but overall too buggy at least on Linux.
