I did the same thing right around the same time as you, still loving it :)
A real corporate productivity suite for Linux via SteamOS would be a wonderful thing.
Yeah as someone new to Linux gaming this filled in some key blanks for me.
It’s nice to see an article that’s informative and brief!
I’m so here for it. I don’t have a real gaming PC atm but I’ve been in and out of it for decades, and recently decided to switch to Linux for my daily driver. Seeing everything Valve has been doing for Linux gaming has been wonderful. The few games I want to play on my laptop instead of my PS5 have worked great, none of the headaches I had last time around with Linux (circa Obama). It’s helped me convince one or two of my friends, too, head of the Win10 dump.
SteamOS has been changing the game and it’s just gonna get better
After The Final Shape, the urge to play has just plummeted. Episodes are the same. Thing. Over. And. Over. Again. With the same old awkward exposition. The seasonal events are the same every year. And so on.
I’m playing the new dungeon with some friends and that’s it. There’s better games to play. Or rather, ones that respect your time better.
Take note, folks. Watch this trend spread.
This is pretty fun, thanks!
Yeah, yeah, the Time Knife, we’ve all seen it
I’ve got an older resin printer I used for Warhammer, I’m thinking it’s just a matter of time before I start trying FDM to make useful stuff.
The “jousting” at 45sec got me.
Plus, a lot of them just end up being no longer supported at all. Oopsie your Planned Obsolescent Leg needs replacing again
I want to be a cyborg but after seeing how tech, especially software, has developed (like, I don’t even really want to buy a new car because how tf am I gonna fix it), I don’t think I can trust it. Imagine if your ears’ firmware just stops being supported.
Any cybernetics would have to be built for me by a hobbyist with a workshop full of Raspberry Pis or something
Every time I see “Bobby Kotick” I hear it in that bit from Parks and Rec where they keep repeating “Bobby Newport” more ludicrously
BAH-BEE KOH-TICKKKKKKK
Water + Jesus = Wine
Wine + Jesus = Brandy
Brandy + Jesus = Twice-distilled Brandy? Cooking sherry? Idk
Idk, BF3 was probably the last time I seriously played it but even then I missed Bad Company 2. THAT was peak Battlefield and it only had like a dozen players in a match or something.
Honestly, not really. I’m just kind of at a point in my life where it’s something I’m thinking about looking into, and an out-of-the-box option like this would be really handy.
I’d probably buy it.
Floors are cold and firm
When I’m all in a hot sweat sometimes I don’t wanna be surrounded by blankets and pillows
I’ve spent a lot of time grateful for a cold floor
