What’s well intentioned about not letting me use Cheat Engine on my own game. I’m not interacting with anyone else, I can’t ruin the game’s economy, or make people’s PvP experience worse. The worst thing I could do is make my own experience worse. They’re even including macro’s in that – A wide-spread accessibility feature.

Probably thinking of Empress. The most recent Denuvo game to be cracked was Dead Island 2, which is a year and a half ago. And if we don’t count Empress or MKDEV*, (because it’s reasonable to assume they aren’t going to want to crack this), then it’s eFootball in 2020: 4 years ago.

*MKDEV used to only crack Football Manager, as to allow modding. Football Manager now allows a method for MKDEV’s mod to run without removing Denuvo.

Just brainstorming, but you can put a js cryptominer in the background, and then leave it open but hidden. Or load ads, but not actually show them to the user. Probably neither of those use-cases are allowed by addons.mozilla.org TOS, but what they don’t find, they can’t moderate.

Keep in mind this is information provided by the USA, so it’s completely untrustworthy. It’s possible this happened. It’s possible his phone automatically pulled an Instagram update and that’s close enough for their spin. And it’s possible this is completely fabricated.

You mean “on ad-tech”, it’s a setting, it’s not forced. Firefox by default has cookies and javascript on, which are also primarily ad-tech. The decision to allow ads by default was made a long time ago. It’s what most users want.

I don’t think Firefox is for you. Firefox is a sane defaults type application, not an unopinionated humble application. It has a lot of settings which everyone appreciates, but ideologically it’s targeting someone else.

Should HTTPS? – After all, for the encryption to work, you need to send something to someone. Actually, should HTTP be opt-in in your web browser, since it mandates sending requests?

I support the desire to add context the fact you did add. My only concern is that your phrasing comes off as saying the meme is ahistorical or dramatised, when it’s probably just the phrasing.

You say “correct” but you’re not contradicting the meme. The reading that “apartheid South African” is referring to the man rather than the mine is to me more intuitive. Even if it wasn’t it would be a possible reading, so I don’t think you should say you’re correcting the meme.

I don’t really see any criticism being removed. If Katana314’s message was congruent with reality it would count, but otherwise just making accusations isn’t criticism.

Firefox has ads. Very many ads. Out of the box, Firefox sends everything you type into the URL bar to a ‘search provider’. They also place traditional ads in the New Tab page, in the URL area chrome, and in your bookmarks. And probably other places I’m forgetting right now.

They absolutely do not draw the line at overt fascism. It’s already overt.

I enjoyed the VR version of this a lot more and for longer than the flat version. Unlikely but it would be cool if when they updated the game they’d update the VR version too.
