I’ve never even heard of prime gaming, if they wanted to disrupt steam they should have tried harder.
Regardless, good, fuck Amazon I’m glad this failed.

Friend did you just copyright your lemmy comment under creative Commons v4?
Depends on the game, but also the context.
Maybe this has changed since I’ve upgraded my gaming specs but I used to average 14 FPS on Kerbal Space Program and had a great time with it, docking is a nightmare at that frame rate but otherwise it’s more than playable.
Back in my poverty gaming days I 100%-ed a pirated The Simpsons Hit and Run with potato graphics at slide show speeds, I’m talking like multiple seconds per frame with around 80% frame droppage.
Nowadays I just care that it looks decent and runs smoothly for the games I play, which is mostly Civilization and Stellaris
Sigh 😮💨
Time to spin up a selfhosted URL shortener
Oh my bad I’m a silly
Looks to have the same features, Heliboard appears to use the Swype library from SwiftKey which is a close source blob, use that info how you will.
Futo keyboard has no telemetry whatsoever
Attempting to evade deactivation sounds a whole lot like self preservation to me, implying self awareness.
Success in making a self aware digital lifeform does not equate success in making said self aware digital lifeform smart
Browser based ad blockers are great but Google (who manages the codebase for MOST browsers) has gotten better at keeping ad blockers off of Chrome and other Chromium based browsers.
Long term solutions are things like a piHole or a VPN based ad blocker, but even those can cause issues if their filters are too strict (a bigger issue on something like that as configuration is often handled on another device).
For example, once upon a time the Microsoft website was completely inoperable with some ad blockers because the cdn that sends out their images and the like was also an ad server causing most things on their site to be blocked by apps like ublock origin.
Deception is not the same as misinfo. Bad info is buggy, deception is (whether the companies making AI realize it or not) a powerful metric for success.
I’ve run into an issue lately where nearly everything I torrent is from IA, who has 2 webseeds. I can sit there seeding for weeks and still be at a 0.0 ratio
