I did a quick install of windows (last year I think?) and it sorted everything into a onedrive folder. documents, pictures, videos, downloads, all that stuff, looked normal from the file explorer, but was sneakily placed into a onedrive folder. it went something like c:/users/me/onedrive/. didn’t realize what it had done until like 2 days later and it gave me some popup about not being able to upload. i don’t even have a onedrive account; it just decided that was how it should be done. no idea what, if anything, it actually uploaded.
now if i have to install windows i have a script from privacy.sexy i run before doing anything else. havent had that happen again yet. still, probably best to assume anything on a windows machine is not private.
I’m just surprised it seems to actually be in c/users instead of a OneDrive folder
Kind of an odd and short article. Gives a decent rundown for OBS’s complaint but doesn’t even attempt to explain why the Fedora devs would be resistant to fixing a borked package.
I had one of these and somehow it also picked up a radio station, so no matter what I played it’d be mixed with some random techno music
I don’t remember anyone saying 10 was worse than 8. Maybe buggier on launch, but stylistically it worked more like 7 than 8 did
Melatonin actually has a scientific basis. It’s a naturally produced hormone that will have an effect on most people, but being a hormone, ymmv. Homeopathy is pure quackery from top to bottom
I mean, it’s Valve. But it will be funny when #saveTF2 happens for the third time next year, and Valve does their now-yearly ban wave again and everyone repeats wondering if the problem is solved.
I enjoy the idea that some shitass mason hated whatever king hired him, built all the stairs as quickly and poorly as possible, and then to save his ass later had to be all “oh hmm yes the stairs? That’s a feature actually” and somehow it winds up catching on
Has begun? Didn’t it happen like a year or two ago, resulting in Valve tweeting about solutions coming “soon” and then predictably doing nothing?
While simultaneously opposing any form of gun control so they can fight… something?
Apparently the only protest worth anything is one where you’re shooting at someone
Calling them “the aughts” is also the best way I’ve found to refer to that decade
Don’t worry, he’s got 10000 hours in various other flight sims
Do you really think that’s sustainable
At $15 a month? Yeah totally. The vast majority of that 2.7 billion probably cost a few cents at most to offer service to. Very few people actually upload anything and streaming video is way cheaper than the various streaming services would have you believe. It’s expensive to get off the ground, sure, but it scales well.
Tens of millions of people can and do pay. This isn’t about covering costs, this is about making line go up faster than last year, every year, no matter what.
that’s not really true. 10,000 years ago is about when we developed agriculture, stopped roaming as much, and started writing in some form that could survive the millennia, but we’ve been living and working together since long before we were ever recognizably human.
is fortnite really still the thing these days? that game is a full 6 years old. i know games have a longer shelf life now (same vein as minecraft and roblox) but surely there’s a newer game we grumpy old geezers should be shaking our canes at the kids about. sus amogus anyone??
yes you can find it at /u/BlemboTheThird@lemmy.ca
