Largely most distros shake out to be about the same. Anything that runs a more aggressive release cycle (Fedora, opensuse tumbleweed, etc) will support newer hardware better. Slower release cycles (debian, Ubuntu, etc) may not support the latest and greatest.
The more important pick will be your desktop environment (gnome, KDE, etc). This will impact how you use the system more. There’s plenty of information out there but feel free to DM me if you have more specific questions

I know I was having issues trying to transcode media the server wasn’t able to transcode. I didn’t know it wouldn’t transcode period if device could handle it. I feel like I was always transcoding no matter what but maybe not the case. I certainly would not consider myself an authority on the inner workings of Jellyfin

I see what you’re saying. I don’t really mind doing the transcoding but I’d never looked to turn it off. Maybe it’ll be a feature added at some point.

You may disagree but I’m of the opinion that making an open source version of an app is enough of a reason to warrant it’s creation but to each their own of course. Thanks for sharing your input.

I’ve never used Plex. I’m curious what issues you’ve had with jellyfin that makes you say this. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with it, along with a friend who’s been using it a lot

As a user you can’t access the filesystem. It’s completely abstracted away. At least this was the case for the iPhone 6

Private trackers. I think common ones. If you search them with “tracker” you’ll probably find them.

PIA also allows port forwarding but its a random port

I suppose not needing to grind for better gear would be nice. I think I want my next play through to be a repeat of the first and the grinding was part of the 💫 experience 💫
But I can’t relive that experience so maybe sergey hax is the way to go.

As to iconoclasts, Nothing gameplay wise is similar but the characters/dialogue seem reminiscent of what crosscode brings to the table, which to me was a big part of my enjoyment.

Sorry for the late reply. I think I watched a video with these. I think playing with sergey hax would overall detract from doing a second play through but the extra dialogues/expressions are spectacular.

I’m currently playing through iconoclasts which was recommended as having some similarities to crosscode and I see them. Been having a good time so far with it.
That said, it’s very difficult to compare with Lea

As to stardew, I’ve only played a little bit, never past the first season pretty much. I’m not one to play it solo and group session always die very quickly. When most of my friends are unemployed or don’t work full 9-5, it’s hard to coordinate with them.

That all said, I love this game and it does so much right and Dev is awesome. This game feels to me like a lot of what game companies should strive to be.

The one game I will never stop gushing praise for is crosscode. Not a short game by any means but it’s taken my number 1 spot handedly.

As an aside, pseudoregalia is an excellent game and I’m glad it made it onto this list or yours.

I played hl2 a long time ago (at least 10 years). It was a really good game when I played it and I suspect it will stand the test of time for a long while still.
That said, its not Something I’m especially interested in revisiting personally

I find that while the difficulty is there, its extremely forgiving in that you can create save points effectively at will so it doesn’t feel like too much of a chore most of the time

I loved Ori 1 and 2. I hope you enjoy as much as I did :)

I loved the voice actors and the visuals of hades but I actually couldn’t really get into it much. The gameplay just didn’t quite work for me lol. Different strokes for different folks I guess

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I think a lot of people enjoy digging into a game via guides and wikis to learn how to min-max. I think I’m one of those people so I would probably enjoy that aspect it.

I think (without having played more than 1 run) that a lot of where improvements come from in skill is consistency, and that’s something I enjoyed a lot is learning slay the spire (making most runs at least somewhat viable).

All that said, it’s a game and you should obviously enjoy yourself playing a game, or leisure time in general :P A shame it didn’t land for you though
