Touchscreen? Great!
UHD though? In such a small form factor, it sounds like a needless battery drain. Or are there use cases I’m missing?

Hey, if it consoles you, three quarters of our pure back-end C# developers are as you describe, too.
All the full-stack devs I’ve worked with so far were just back-end developers who write terrible front-end code.
I wish I had telemetry on such features.
I really doubt a significant number of people use AI chatbots often enough that having it in a dedicated sidebar is worth it.
I think I may have always mispronounced one or both of these then.
Man, English pronunciation, I swear.
Hmm, it is similar to a J, and may become the same depending on the speaker, but not necessarily exactly the same
Ooh wow you’re right.
Close to me is “closs”
Close the door is “cloz”
I never noticed
Close isn’t always pronounced the same?!
The Switch is fantastic for what it is. Sure, it’s anemic and old, but it’s a creative design that more or less created a whole product category and allows for very creative gameplay.
They did push their luck a bit with BOTW and especially TOTK, regarding performance, sure. But most of the time, you really don’t need incredible processing power to play a Nintendo game. They’re overdue for a Switch 2 (I suspect they planned to release that much earlier but a combination of the pandemic and higher sustained sales than anticipated changed their plans), but I really don’t think most of their consoles can be considered mistakes.
IMO Nintendo brings something different and it’s very much okay that it exists.
What I’m actually doubtful about is Xbox and Sony. Those are just PC-controller combos, made cheap through standardisation, high volumes and loss-leader tactics, essentially. Microsoft and, to a lesser but similar degree, Sony, are the ones I’m not convinced provide the world with much value by making consoles.
I preferred metaverse talk. All of it was obviously useless nonsense that would never go anywhere. It could be safely ignored and laughed at. Simple times.
In contrast, not ALL of AI is useless nonsense. It takes more brain power to think about.
6 and 9 are huge fan favourites. I hated 6 enough to drop it, and while I did finish 9, man was it mediocre.
10, 13 and 7 are my favourites.
Vue and React are popular alternatives.
Lit is a less popular alternative that’s 100% compatible with native WebComponents, and I’ve been interested in it ever since I first heard of it.
The old version, AngularJS, died. The newer Angular lives on, and I heard it’s a much better experience.
I think the profanity filter used to be non-optional on iOS’s autocorrect.
That sounds dumb. :(
I kinda like the idea but I also kinda hate it.
I really wish PWAs worked properly cross-platform instead. :(
I understand that they need to diversify so that they’re not so dependent on Google’s default search engine money. I don’t know how they should do that.
But I’m not sure what they’ve been doing has been all that good of an idea.
Do we need a name? Most social networks don’t have a special name for their users.
People have tried to get me into Monster Hunter several times, with little success. There’s just a lot of work involved.
Lots of crafting and farming, and once you’re ready, the fight itself is a lot of work. It takes a long time due to large HP pools.
There are a zillion builds, and the story isn’t exactly deep enough to engage me despite the shortcomings. To me, it’s basically Elden Ring, but with the aspects I don’t like turned to 11.
Oh I could likely see the difference. But if there’s a significant impact on battery life, I would probably be just fine with the lower resolution.
It would suck if the touchscreen option were only available with a 4K resolution because of that.
