The trucks will often flash their lights as well, often blinding drivers of sedans and smaller SUVs due to height difference and poor regulations for headlight height.

A lot of what trump is doing goes along with that. I think this is not solid evidence against shadow government theory.

You’re tortured most of the time except those times they clean you up, get you tipsy and send you with the honey pot. Rinse and repeat everyday until one of the methods breaks you or the honey pot falls for you for real and plans an escape.
Well to win, the jeep would have to be running, so most would be disqualified before the match even starts. If the ref is feeling nice they can allow up to 3 attempts to start the jeep.
It is so messed up how every part of our society is secretly tuned to make being poor trapped yet every rung up the ladder to being wealthy, the journey gets a little easier by hidden subsidies like this.
How would you tell you’re looking at a synchronized digital clock or cheap battery model?
There are tons of equipment and tools out there that very closely resemble an analog clock and require the same skills. Pressure gauges for example. These skills are not out dated.
IMO all the more reason to keep them. In the real world we all have to perform under pressure. With practice they can learn to read the clock under pressure, maybe take a breath or two and slow down before trying to read it. It may be a simple hurdle to overcome but practicing overcoming these things is important for development.

FireRetardant@lemmy.worldto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•There is only one type of job: Doing something someone else doesn't want to do.4·1 year agoNot everyone is capable of doing every job. The tasks of a recptionist are far different than those of a roofer. Jobs like emergency services can be high stress positions, jobs like assembly work can be rather dull sometimes. Everyone and every job is different.

Gotta brush up on the gas fitting code too cause my furnace needs work. Then ill drive myself to the hospital where i will be my own nurse and my own surgeon.
The ability to learn is also linked with time, energy, and accessibility to resources.
In some senses i would go back. Then i could just keep using 1 wire. Things were great when everything had the same cable for me. Now ive got a mix of micro and C.
I do a lot backpacking and every gram really counts when you carry it all day.
Most of my flashlights and rechargeable decives are micro USB still. C is superior but I’m not throwing away good electronics over a charging cable.
Its always baffled me how corporations managed to bribe politicians but its legal because they use the term “lobbying” instead.
Imagining murdering someone then saying nope thats not a crime, simply because you won’t call it a homicide, instead you keep labeling it something else.
Or another example, i’m not allowed to “lobby” a police officer out of giving me a ticket, but a mining corporation can lobby away their environmental regulations.

There needs to be decades of planning, monitoring and maintaince to ensure waste sites are safe and secure, this can be done but modern political climates can make it difficult.

I find the night mode on my rear view does okay at reducing the high beams light, but my side mirrors become blindingly bright if they get hit at the right angle.
