Oh hey, we’re starting to almost approach the state that they claimed the game was in before launch!

I wouldn’t care if he warmed up tuna sandwiches in the office microwave.
Too far. Way too far.
My favorite example of this was just a few years ago, when the media all reported that a woman had found a black hole. The coverage was all about her and how surprising it was… she was on a team of 6. We all just decided, fuck the 5 other people on her team who all worked together on the project. She wasn’t even a team lead or anything.
VS Code slow and bloated? Someone hasn’t been spending nearly enough time in IntelliJ
Nah, that’s a dumb take. Denuvo does protect from casual piracy - even if only temporarily - that’s why companies use it.
It also negatively affects legit consumers, and that is the problem - these publishers have decided that potential profit matters more than actual, realized customers.
I haven’t bought a Denuvo-protected game in about a decade, and that isn’t going to change.
Only hours? lol then that’s fine
this is posted on Lemmy where most users are already tech savvy (enough to at least start using Lemmy)
You can just download one of the many For Lemmy apps from your mobile store… there’s literally no barrier to entry.
Sure on stocks, but would bonds be considered gambling?
It sure would have been if the community wasn’t raging about it - most of us would have never learned it was turned on in the first place.
It was against an opinion I agree with… I’m sorry for “inserting myself” into a completely public discussion on social media 🙄🙄🙄
Do you donate to FOSS software you use?
I do. Are there any other strawmen you’d like to throw at me?
These large conspiracy theories are always absurd because our government can’t both be eminently incompetent and also full of scheming masterminds, able to keep hundreds or thousands of people from spilling secret plans. You have to pick one.
Isn’t that… like… almost the entirety of the purpose of the genre?
My gut says you’re probably overestimating the low-intensity power draw of the 2050M. I’d say use it for a while and see if the battery life is actually a problem for you before going this route
When you realize your streaming services cost more than cable did
Someone never actually paid for cable, huh? Maybe if you had a basic plan with no channels and you’re now paying for all of the premiums, but that’s not really a valid comparison.
It sounds like it will be really hard to differentiate bounce trackers from totally valid patterns like routing through federated identity servers 🤔 I wonder how they’re dealing with that
Ehhh, I’m actually (surprisingly) gonna disagree here. Obviously there are special cases, where the game worked in EA and had some game-breaking crash on release, but those are the exception and not the norm.
If you paid for EA, that’s 100% on you and I don’t think a refund should be available at all (after the initial time limit, of course). You paid for an unfinished game and that’s exactly what you got. It literally doesn’t matter what the game releases as.
If you played a game with free EA, you know more-or-less what you were getting on release. You know the developer’s communication style and their release cadence, and you’ve literally played the game. I would like to see this time limit extended back to maybe 30m/1hr (it may be different in ways you don’t like), but I don’t see a problem with reducing it if you’ve already experienced parts of the game.
Fallout is hyper realistic
Ah, yes, stim-pacs have saved my life numerous times, and I also experience time dilation at my own whim! And, obviously, a quick hit of Jet has gotten me going at least a few times over the years.
I haven’t personally used it, but my coworker said using Cursor with the newest Claude model is a gamechanger and he can’t go back anymore 🤷♂️ he hasn’t really liked anything outside of cursor yet
