nothing was done then. Probably same thing is going to happen here. MAYBE roblox gets slightly better modderation, but i doubt it. The inceased modderation could also make the game unplayable for innocent users.

Worst part is that its such a lose lose situation roblox shutting down will remove acess to alot of the hard work the child slave devs did keeping the platform alive. People are going to miss roblox join private servers and boom back at square one. Club Penguin all over again.

I watched a bit of the content creator schlep and was honestly disapointed with how THIS type of content is what triggered this whole debacle. I cannot find it, but my gf showed me this tiktok where a person made an extremely compentent remix within the fortnite music mode. It was a completely original work made of songs within fortnite it was very impressive. All that is to say Im not a fan of low effort work when just a small amount more could turn it into something new and interesting. Monitizing it is just an extra fu imo.

I do get what youre saying about struggling for money, but even so ive seen street artists with some insane talent and or ingenuity. Im of the belief that everyone can practice at something and make a living off of it even if its something wed consider mundane like… sweeping a floor. Im going to look up a professional sweeper right now on youtube and find someone with insane skill. And im sure the same is true with any task or art.

True. But at the same time If little to no effort is being put in, it does ride the line of being fair use. So if they are monitizing it which i dont think they were doing 15 years ago I find that kind of scummy. but other than that i look at it as the same thing as those AMVs back in the day. Just something someone made for the love of the source material.

Thats sad if they actually consider what they are doing art. Ive been out of the loop for a while but when I saw people making this stuff 15 years ago, it seemed like a thing a niche community was doing. I dont think anyone took it seriously. I know i just enjoy thinking in these odd out of pocket ways to get people out of their heads. Its actually really cool looking at a snake skeleton you can see where the limbs would have been had it not evolved to lose them and where the tail begins very clearly!

Obviously I disagree with the content. But this just reminds me of the whole “hatred” debacle. the game probably sucks (like hatred did), and its content was very taboo but honestly if some sicko wants to “enjoy” these games i dont think they should be censored. I really hate the idea of people not liking something and it being scrubbed from the internet.

Like if I decided to make a oligarch assassination game with popular figgures as targets. id expect a strong reaction but pulling it from public availability is just plain stupid. And id expect most of the people who think that non-consentual game should be removed would advocate for the murder simulators right to exist. We cant just pick and choose what to censor imo its gotta be all or nothing.
