Couldn’t you just handle this with:
breakflag = False
for x in iterator:
if breakcondition(x):
breakflag = True
break
dostuff()

I work with a lot of users and a lot of files in my job.
I don’t remember a single case, where someone had an issue because of upper- or lowercase confusions.
Well, if we had less oil, gas and coal it could make things a lot better with climate change.
Abundance can also lead to wastefullness. But generally speaking it just doesn’t matter if pretty rocks are scarce or not, if they don’t have any value in fulfilling human needs.
@Infynis@midwest.social has a great point. If you, the pleb, wears an artificial diamond and ruin the mood for the people who overpay for the blood diamonds, does devalue the status symbol.
It is the same reason why clothing brands fight so eagerly against cheap knockoffs, even if the knockoffs can be identified easily.
Scarcity of what? Food, water, sanitary infrastructure, shelter, healthcare? Yeah that is bad.
Scarcity of pretty rocks, some people want to wear as accessoires? Fine whatever. Also i wouldn’t mind the mining of scarce and pretty rocks, if it wouldn’t go with the destruction of the environment and human rights abuses.
They already won culturally, as they managed to shift the political culture closer towards theirs. They also managed to set issues that are “theirs”. We see the same shit in Europe, were supposedly progressive parties are implementing the wildest dreams of racist anti-immigration, anti-refugee, anti-science and authoritarian surveillance state policies that the fascists dreamed off. All in the name of “stopping” them, while neglecting actually relevant issues like social services and infrastructure investments. Rinse and repeat and by the time the fascists take over all they have to do is remove the remaining formalities of division of power and democracy.
Does repeating commands count or do they have to be entered manually?
When i read extravagant trips, i expected to go to some Carribean Islands, or hiking in Nepal or something like that. Going to some Plastic corporate identity hellhole does not seem extravagant to me, although it is probably much more expensive in terms of Costs/Experience.
Naah. There is plenty of Gen X, Y, Z who know and plenty of Millenials who dont.
Its just if you wanted to “do stuff with computers” you had to develop some understanding back then.
Today you can “do stuff” like gaming much easier out of the box. So not everyone who “does stuff” knows his way around.
In the office most colleagues of all generations just know how to do their specific things, mostly in MS Office products.
