Works great on my main PC. I have some legacy hardware, a 12 year old PC I shoved a gtx970 into, and I cannot seem to get Bazzite running on it. It would run Win10 and most modern titles well enough to let the kiddo play on it, so this is disappointing. Maybe I need a different distro for something so old?
That’s actually what I went with too. I considered Mint and Pop!OS but really my PC is a gaming machine with a nvidia card. A friend recommended bazzite and its exactly what I was looking for.
I just installed Linux and holy shit it is so much easier and more straight forward than a windows install. Really wish I would have done it sooner.
I bought a plasma in 2009 that would show static if I turned it to cable channels without cable plugged in. Plasmas were susceptible to burn in and since I would game a lot I could see health bars etc start to burn in after a while. Whenever that would happen I would turn it to the static screen - making each pixel flip from one end of the spectrum to the other rapidly like that would actually help remove the burn in.
Control also did a fantastic job. At some point the reflections on the glass are almost too good. There is a puzzle where you need to look through some windows to solve it. I couldn’t see what the hell was going on because of the reflections and had to turn RTX off. It was otherwise great and I think the difference is dramatic.
I thought I did, they had a drop down menu to select based on my card. Maybe I screwed that up, will double check, thanks
