Me every time I get on an elevator from now on.
I think it’s probably more the former. He’s wealthy and has spent his life being absurdly attractive, I figure he is able to rotate through young beautiful impressionable companions, so he does.
I think he said in an interview somewhere he has no desire to or intention of settling down and starting a family. And he has this idea that women will start to want to do that in their mid-to-late 20s, so he makes it clear to the women he dates that it won’t last. They get to live his lifestyle and whatnot for a few years, then he moves on. He claims to be pretty upfront about it.
The older he gets the creepier it gets, but I suppose if everyone is informed and consenting it isn’t ethically wrong.
Oh man, Coco broke me in the best and most beautiful way.
My grandpa had Alzheimer’s, and near the end he couldn’t remember anything but if we started singing hymns or Christmas carols he knew he would sing along with us. I never really mourned him properly; by the time he died he’d been slowly disappearing for years, so the funeral was more of a “good, he’s done suffering” deal.
At the end of Coco I cried harder than I’ve ever cried at any movie. It was like I had all this stuff pent up and never dealt with and didn’t realize it. It all came out in one massive wave of catharsis. It felt incredible.
Now it’s my favorite Pixar movie.
The elephants aren’t without blame here.
Oh I’ve not been on the Starcruiser. It was like, $6k for two nights. Screw that.
I’ve been to Disney World though. The Star Wars area (in Hollywood Studios) is really cool. And Animal Kingdom is fantastic. The whole place is fun, but not everyone’s cup of tea certainly.
It’s way better than Disneyland, IMO. Which is underwhelming in comparison. Although the Star Wars areas are essentially identical, which is nice.
Well, “Starcruiser” was a massive flop. Far too expensive, underwhelming experience, terrible execution. Jenny Nicholson has a surprisingly compelling four hour review of it that covers part of why it flopped. Worth a watch.
Also, the extendable lightsaber is pretty fragile. Only really able to be used for the extending and maybe a bit of swinging it around. Essentially it’s like two half-cylindrical measuring tapes with an end cap that extend together, with an LED strip inside. You can’t hit another blade with it. So when they had lightsaber fights the actors had to quickly swap from the extendable lightsaber to the fighting lightsaber out of view, like crouching to run and swapping behind a railing or something.
The extending lightsabers were for the star cruiser thing, and they don’t do that anymore. But maybe they’ve moved them into the park proper.
But yeah, Disney World is a pretty amazing experience.
“You like that, you fucking retard?‽!”
You can use mushrooms in Plants vs Zombies.
It isn’t called “Plants and Fungi vs Zombies.”
Ergo, mushrooms are plants.
Checkmate, atheists!
Ah, yep. I have very little knowledge of keyboards in other parts of the world, unfortunately.
We use ! because keyboards no longer have buttons for ¬, which is the other logical not.
Literally a Weird Al song.
I’m just an audio nerd info dumping haha
I see you and I appreciate you. 😂
I meant (in MY comparison) specifically compared to CDs, and I would hope an album bought on CD is still mastered for that album. CDs are lossless, vinyl is only that high of quality the first time it’s played (and even then introduces noise).
Yeah, streamed versions aren’t going to be as good.
MP3s and digital compression in general sounds really bad, though.
I often wonder if this is because it’s MISSING the tape noise and record scratches. I’ve heard lots of people say that vinyl is better audio quality than CD, which is simply not true. I suspect that feeling of it being better audio quality comes from it being what you’re used to.
Psychic interrupting cow who?
