My last trip to the DMV was surprisingly smooth. They finally implemented appointments, and, unlikely private doctors, they didn’t make me wait in the lobby for 30minutes to 1 hour and then in the examination room for another 15-30 minutes.

No matter the infrastructure, it takes a while to go 15 miles each way. Granted, its more consistent (with an ebike at least). At the extreme end, the drive to work has taken over 2 hours once. So biking would have been much faster. Most days is like 15-20 minutes for the drive vs 55-65 minutes for the bike ride
I still prefer when people do that if it after people already replied. Especially if those typos were significant enough to cause misunderstandings. The whole chain just becomes confusing if you fix them without any edit log.
Was expecting the same and I didn’t even know they switched to torx. Philips screws are bad. I go out of my way and spend extra money to avoid them.
Same. The electronics screwdriver set also includes a SIM ejector bit, so its a bit redundant.
Even when conversion camp stuff is illegal, people still try it. Even if just DIY abuse (which is also illegal and still common). Simply not having the tech may be preferable to having the tech/knowledge, making it illegal to use it, and then people use it illegally anyways. If child abuse in general was something that could have just not been invented, not inventing it would be far superior to inventing it and then making it illegal.
If we have the tech to change people’s brains in such a way, what else will it gets used on? Ethically, there’s differences between pedophilia and other sexual preferences but I don’t know if there’s any biological differences. Given conversion camps are already a problem despite not working, I can’t see how they wouldn’t become a bigger problem if they did actually do what they claimed…
Lifecycle emissions of ebiking can be a couple times lower unless you eat very green. Its been regularly over 100F here and I wish it was a desert so I didn’t have to also deal with humidity: I’ve ridden in thunderstorms and think its nicer than riding the middle of the sunny summer days. Either way, still better than driving in traffic. For moving large things, a car is not any better. And driving around a moving van every day would be a huge waste when you can just use them when you need them and drive a much better vehicle (a bike) when you don’t.
Even if you need a car to deliver, it doesn’t need to be your car. Work-vehicles properly scaled to their job are fine.
Or huge sedans. If they’re bikes, they’re possibly more green than most non-electric bikes (depending on diet).
I thought it was the other way around; the instance is supposed to apologize to anotherlemmyuser.
What does it matter if its lemmy.ca?
In fact killing him could have made things worse for the USA. See 9/11 for a recent example.
Pretty sure they’re responding to that part.
He was an actor/celebrity who somehow became US president. Usual pro-corporate, racist republican politician.
That’s probably because the website sent an email to the person and asked them to answer the questions.
Also, the US is one of the premier offshore place to hide money from my understanding. So even if it was money, a lot of the US tokens would be hidden locally.
How else will you fit in dozens of ads?
Or when you follow the same car for a few turns and worry they are worried.
