pessoal detesta o systemd porque ele é grande demais pra ser um init system, só que ele nunca foi só um init system

systemd é um deamon de sistema. e isso é bom, trouxe padronização e ordem pro gerenciamento de sistema do linux, que era uma bagunça do caralho antes

e independente do que você acha disso ou se a padronização do systemd foi “payola”, o fato é que hoje, nas distros que importam, ele é o padrão. e não faz sentido nenhum (a não ser que você queira brincar de linux) usar uma distro obscura com dois mantenedores e meio só por causa de raivinha com software
