The new AMD GPU generation is due to be presented this week, with tests expected in early March. I’d recommend waiting a few days to see the first impressions.

I wouldn’t consider an AM4 build for a new PC unless there is a very low budget. But this does not seem to be the case here.
“launches outside of china” doesn’t mean it will come to EU or US:
Huawei UK public relations specialist Elliot Mulley-Goodbarne did confirm to The Verge that it’s “not coming to the UK or US for the time being.
RPCS3 runs well on a steam deck, which is not exactly a beast.
I’ve picked this game as an example, as it is one of the best looking PS3 games.
But you’re right, it has been remade.
Maybe, but well-known PS3 exclusive titles like “the last of us” won’t run.
I’e seen that some want it to host their own LLM. It’s far cheaper to buy DDR5 memory than somehow getting 100+ GB of VRAM. Whether or not this is a good idea is another question
The black and white versions look OK, but the red and blue look really odd.
The iPhone 13 mini had 5.4", so almost one inch smaller
Anbernic has some. Not all of their devices run linux though, make sure to check the details.
Thanks for your explanation! Please let me know if you succeed with your Reverb G2.
Their changelog on one of their last releases says
Added WinMR driver, it supports most headsets and controllers. Controllers can be connected both via host-Bluetooth and tunneled with the onboard radio chip. By default has 3DoF tracking, it can do 6DoF if used with the Basalt SLAM tracking software. Distortion is there but doesn’t work perfectly on all hardware, best results is on Reverb G2.
This isn’t really understandable for me as a VR newbie ;)
Edit: Maybe I’ll just get a Vive/Vive pro. They’re also cheap and probably enough to try it out without hours of hassle
Looks like Lenovo got a lot right with their Steam OS device. Competetive price and interesting specs.
Would be cool if they would ship with Steam OS, but apparently they don’t.
I’d also guess that it runs linux. But likely in a very closed, proprietary way.
Maybe this device can be jailbroken and used for other purposes … but apart from the interesting controller, I’d rather pick a device that can run the OS of my choice without much hassle.
Does this have anything to do with linux gaming? Looks more like a proprietary game console than a portable linux PC.
Right, there are many more unofficial builds and also lits of forks available. But at least for me, I’d rather not download builds directly from XDA.
I don’t think that graphene builds on Lineage OS. If this would be the case, then the Android 15 release of Graphene OS wouldn’t be 3 month before the release of Lineage OS 22.
I currently use both (with different phones).
Graphene is way more polished. It even features a browser-based installer. It comes with countless security and privacy improvements that can be non-trivial, but very nice (e.g. contact scopes). And they have an update process that wirks completely in the background, without any further action from the user. But of course the main downside is that you need a pretty expensive Pixel phone.
Lineage OS is less polished, but is compatible with many phones. It is also used as a base for many custom roms that alter the OS in specific ways.
With some custom hardware, the DS was perfectly capable to show videos, better than many phones at this time.
