2 years agoI don’t think so, reddit was so dominant that had they simply not decided to anger all their power users, we’d all still be on there like nothing had changed. A good platform has staying power, I’ve been on Steam for 16 years and I have no plans of bailing on it because it’s simply the best gaming platform I’ve ever used. It’s not game lock-in or anything, most of my games I could buy elsewhere or pirate, I just like having the features and all these other ones popping up like GOG Galaxy still aren’t overtaking it despite the good PR.
Godot has a Humble Bundle of examples and tutorials right now.
Unreal Engine is also extremely powerful and comes with the bonus of being able to learn how to use it by making maps for Fortnite.
