Yeah, I want to say, Bandcamp was sold to a new company last year but so far, it’s pretty much the same as before. I can see someome saying they have some beef with them, but I still use them fairly often, to support lesser known bands when I can. And they schedule special Friday events where they don’t collect any fees - all music sold on those days goes straight to the artists. Sooo much better than the evil Spotify.
I would love to know of a good alternative to Bandcamp, but don’t rule it out entirely, IMO.
Don’t blame the support reps. Blame their employer.
You mean Elon is at war with the truth?
Yeah, I knew that already.
Just because it’s not likely to stop the auction, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t scream loudly about it.
I think a lot of people’s take-away from NFTs was just that there’s still a sucker born every minute, and we all need money for food. No shocker there.
No need to be mean here, but yes, I think some people see this as just another transaction versus the expression of creativity (or lack thereof) that I see in art. Such is life.
Am I the only one who just plays games and doesn’t know what FPS he’s getting? If it plays, I’m good.
Or,… maybe I am missing out on something? Lol
Yeah, I don’t care what they do in the name of commerce. I just wish they wouldn’t call it art.
Phrases my friends would never use:
AI Art
My requirement with this page is it has to load really fast, because I return to it often while working / browsing. So yeah, it’s really lightweight and easy to maintain, as things come and go. The source is stored in Forgejo! (the “Code” button there).
I just hacked a simple HTML page for this, with big mobile friendly buttons.
That page is served by nginx in my server and is my default home page on my phone and desktop.
Did not see that till now - thanks!
That makes sense
Oh man - right after I posted this, I got the DM others have reported from the Polish tech chick from Toronto, with links to her cool videos. I passed her message to this extension but it says it looks like Human text. Oh well.
Instagram head Adam Mosseri just announced a video editing app called Edits. Mosseri said the app is meant to rival CapCut, a video editing app that went offline along with TikTok. Edits is available for preorder on the iOS App Store.
“There’s a lot going on right now, but no matter what happens, it’s our job to provide the best possible tools for creators,” Mosseri said in a video posted to Instagram.
Good to know about, thanks a lot!
Never heard of that option so thanks for the info! That could be the missing piece if I ever get a non-Smart TV.
We still watch free, over-the-air TV, so need the tuner. Free PBS and NHK for the win.
I can’t believe they’re still around
