I play a few free to play games that I’m ok with battle passes and stuff in to help keep the game going. Also gives me something new to get or do every now and then.

But for the most part I agree the bloat of AAA games are just horrible and try to make the game do everything.

For story a lot of my fav games the past few years have been smaller games with stories that take about 6 to 12 hours to finish, like Stray. A good story that does not drag on for padding and does not over stay it’s welcome.

Also remember to give them your credit card, name and address for the privilege of pirating the content.

That’s a very specific controller and bug when using the controller in a mode to emulate a switch pro controller.

I’m glad you found a controller you like, but standard Bluetooth controllers seem to be a none issue for most people.

Linux support for steam games has come a long way and I find the section on the steam page that says what works on the steam deck is pretty bang on for my debian based Linux gaming.

That said I feel your pain. You are running Linux on a MacBook and that is a very small fringe group in a little larger fringe group. If you want to play games on pc you need to get something with more gaming centered hardware. Gaming on a Macbook is never going to be a great process at this stage of the game. A 10 year old PC running linux with a 1050ti would provide a better experience than a MacBook.
