A really cool app that brings new functionality and customization options for a Samsung phone.
I dont know about bloat people keep talking about, I actually use Samsung apps since they’re very good… And I dont see any dip in performance or battery, so I’d like to know where are you people coming from.
You know what’s funny? I dream of a form factor like the Nintendo Switch: fully plastic, even the screen, so I could put a high quality glass screen protector like the one I have on the console. The thing is a tank, surviving many falls without a single damage, and I had to swap the protector once in all these years I have it.
I dont know, I’m pretty happy with my S22 running OneUI 6.1 and it feels really fast. Also, the native apps like Health, Notes, Mail and Calendar are really good, and I don’t use Browser because it doesn’t have a desktop app to share bookmarks like Firefox.
I used to use and love miniflux, but then they migrated to Golang and PostgreSQL, neither which are supported by my shared hosting (namecheap).
I use Freshrss now.
Yep, specially the battery icon.
I guess I’m having a little trouble about the “flagship” definition then. I always assumed that the S line was the best Samsung has to offer, the Pro line was the best from Apple, and so it goes. So the S24 and the 15 Pro are flagships, and those have the same size of the Zenfone 10.
But if “flagship” is only the most expensive phone from a company, I’d argue that the ROG phones are flagships from ASUS, not the Zenfone ones. IDK.
Yes, but we still have the S line. So I don’t know about this whole “small flagship is dead” thing.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S line:
Seriously, the Zenfone 10 and S24 have the same size in practice. I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about.
Pixel 8 Pro came last, 9h15m
Winner is Vivo X100 Pro with 12h46m
S24 Ultra somewhere in the middle with 11h05m
And here’s a picture with all the times from the video:
My dude, I want two things in my Android Auto, and two things only: Maps and Spotify*. That’s it. Stop cramming stupid shit that can’t be used while I’m driving, what the hell.
*swap it for your music player of choice.
Well if I bought then it’s mine and I can do whatever I want with it. So that’s inside “legal rights”, right? Right?
I used to use WeCast, it had a community driven block much like sponsorblock. But it was a long time ago, I couldn’t find it on Google Play so I don’t know if it’s still active.
I do find the argument interesting some YouTubers try to make about ad blockers being a form of piracy.
This argument makes no sense to me, it would be piracy if I was copying the videos into my own channel and raking in the views. An YouTube channel is more like TV, you’re broadcasting into the wild hoping to get some eyeballs and selling those eyeballs to the highest bidder. It’s up to me if I want to see the ads or not, just like TV.
We took steps to protect or users by forcing them to communicate to Android phones using unencrypted channels. After all, those peasants are not iPhone users, they deserve to be spied.
A case like that for a Galaxy S is exactly what I want.
