Look at this chud video here.
It’s just complaining about DEI, but why now? Apparently, Firefox has a “license” to all your data now. How much is that true? Is he just cherry-picking here, in this case? Librewolf or whatever it’s called might be a better option. There’s also Zen browser.
I got this in my YouTube feed and didn’t know it was more anti-DEI slop and now I’m not sure what to believe. Wish they didn’t have to make it so political like they accuse others of doing. Ah well. But what is this I hear about Firefox having a “license” to all your data?
I guess that’s like a lot of browsers, tbh, but I suppose Firefox has higher standards, or did…
Potentially harvested, but also, still probably a concern as well…
Alright, I’ll consider using Librewolf or Zen, but which one do you recommend? Or there any other Firefox forks that are better or on the same level as those two?
There are others, such as
Mercuryand Floorp, but I use Librewolf. I think it’s great! It depends on your priorities. Librewolf is basically just Firefox, but with some enhanced privacy features, while Zen is like a whole different browser. I can’t say what you would prefer.
Edit: Mercury is no longer developed, it seems.
I’ll say this: I prefer whatever fastness, add-ons, and different ways of using the browser (QoL enhancements that also do stuff that other browsers, or most browsers, can’t). That, and the privacy, last but certainly not least.
Maybe I’ll switch to Librewolf first, however, since it’s more “safer” in terms of a change.
Well, I do believe basically every fork is basically the same as far as that goes, except for Zen, which is a little more opinionated in terms of personalization. However, if they’re Firefox forks, you can enable
user.js
hardening anduserChrome.css
personalization.Librewolf is faster than regular Firefox, in my experience.
That’s good to know. I’ll try Librewolf first.
