  • when it comes to genuinely unique technology based experiences like that, there’s nothing that beats Disney world. Disney Land is really nothing like it. Disney Land is mostly a regular theme park, not that much different than a six flags. Disney world has the most money and research put into it of any physical attraction in the world. that shit has probably had more money dumped into it than the Roman collosseum in its time. the things thet have there now feel like actual magic. they have 3d hologram systems, the have lightsabers that extend and look exactly like the movies, they have the same level of robot as what Tesla used to announce the cybertaxi just running around the park all the time. I’ve never been, but they have the most unbelievable entertainment technology there. i can see how a child would walk away feeling like they experienced something special.

  • obviously a news show isn’t going to feel the same rewatching it. that’s not the point lol.

that would be like saying it’s dumb to preserve newspapers in libraries because it’s not going to feel as good rereading the “Hitler is dead” headline. people don’t look at old news to have a good time.

boy was it silly of us to preserve that kind of thing and it totally never comes in handy/s

that’s not even what people are upset about anyway. comedy Central mostly makes entertainment programming that isn’t news based and can still be enjoyed whenever. believe it or not, comedy Central has a lot of content that will stand the test of time. especially when looking at their stand-up catalogue.

this is the destruction of a library. a digital one, but a library none the less. that’s what people are mad about.

but you’re right. we should just dump all of our old movies and shows. they’re worthless moldy junk anyway… 🙄

  • it’s a good feeling unless you can’t print otherwise and the teacher is an asshole.

I had that once in highschool, so no Dean to escalate to or anything. principal took his side. the problem was, due to medical issues, i struggled to get assignments done at home. this class was 90% essays, but it was also just a history class. 100% of the material was covered in the lecture. I’m autistic and tend to remember lectures very well. so, come time for the final exam, one of the only actual in class exams, and i get nearly a perfect score. i knew the material, i just had other struggles with getting the papers done.

he used my struggle with the rest of the class as the only proof he needed to get me expelled. i had to finish my schooling at an alternative school, which was way way better anyway and honestly wasn’t a setbacm in the end. it sure set the tone for my relation with authority though.

  • i mean… it’s a big game. an hour is definitely not enough time to get the feel of a game like that.

hell I’ve never played it and have no strong feelings for or against it, but saying you quit after an hour is not much more than saying you never tried it at all.

like maybe it would be enough time to figure out it wasn’t for you if you don’t like shooters or complicated games in general, but to say it like you did. like you can’t understand how anyone could enjoy it is a bit… it makes you come of badly.

  • yeah, this is coolaide man apologist propaganda. weak as shit propaganda too. it’s his brother that has the addiction and runs around busting down walls for it. mr hotharm here is just trying to clean up after his sloppy ass sibling.

like, i get it. we all want to believe in nomative determinism, but addiction can effect anyone. don’t let big sugar water normalize busting down walls and assaulting children’s parties for a hit.

that’s why i said they were like military pants but short lol

it’s still the same style of pants and that’s still how they’re described, theses ones are just cut into shorts. military is just the term for the style of pants worn in dress uniforms. it doesn’t mean every pair of pants in that cut are used by the military.

the crazy thing about placebo is just how effective it is. because yes, placebo could do that.

we have piles of studies that prove beyond a doubt that placebo can measurably and significantly aid in the healing of physical injuries like broken legs. you don’t Even need to believe in it. there’s studies where patients are told they’re being given a placebo that will do nothing, and they STILL got better faster than the group given nothing.

  • dry needing is a different thing. that’s where they electrically simulate the muscles to like hyper massage them. it’s kind of an extreme deep tissue massage. leaves me sore usually.

it’s not accupuncture, it’s a medical sound practice primarily done by physical therapists.
