I’m not happy with Honor and I will not buy another one. So much bloat, crap that connects to chinese servers and can’t be uninstalled or even disabled.

      So the Chinese Samsung.

I really like Doogee phones, I just wish they didn’t have such a silly name.

First time I’ve heard of this brand.

8GB RAM, 256GB storage, big screen for ~€250 where I live. The CPU looks very weak, but acceptable for €250 price.

The brand name doesn’t work that well, although it sounds worse in English than in other languages IMO.

It’s IP67 rated. In theory I could, and still have a functional phone.

I’m not sure about as a power bank. It can do reverse wireless charging (QI) however.

I actually use it almost entirely wirelessly now. It’s a faff to open the waterproof cover on the usb C each night.

I’ve fallen onto wireless charging, too. I got a cheapo disc deally that’s next to my bed. And then got a car that had a wireless charger. It makes it easier when I’m changing music to not have to deal with a charge cord. The fact that it warms up when it’s charging makes me think it’s less efficient that a cord, tho’.

At some point I’d rather just carry a power bank when I go camping or something instead of carrying a huge phone daily

I’ve never tested this hypothesis, but I would guess that a big-ass battery would remain useful after years of wear while a normal battery would need to be almost constantly plugged in. It’s one thing to plug in a power bank now and then, but if it effectively becomes a wired device that’s too much of a pain.
