If that’s the case then the days of Google are numbered. Something will come along that fills that demand if it doesn’t exist already.

And if it does then it will explode in popularity.

Sorry to say, but that’s just not how America works anymore. They won’t allow competition to exist, either through vicious business tactics, or tagging in the congressional puppets, no new competitors will be allowed to enter the space.

Maybe an argument could be made for a small thing to exist, but if it ever became a threat it would be put down or corrupted to be just like the rest. Capitalism is ethics poison.

Meh. Fuck America. My next laptop will be a Huawei if I have to import the fucking thing myself.

Foreign make. Foreign OS. Foreign chips. Both Govco and Microsoft can eat my ass.

Difference is I trust them more than I trust our government. I would feel safer with China harvesting my data than I would the US.

Not that there’s anything they could do wirh the info. I’m not some senators kid. I don’t work at DOD. I’m a broke American wage slave. So fuck it.

Hypothetical evil of them vs the assured evil of ours. I’ll take that risk. I want them to win the whole geopolitical contest anyway. Because they actually take care of their citizens. They use the force of govt to reign in the worst impulses of business. Some banker steals a bunch of pensions? They hang that thieving bastard. That happens in the US? At most a fine so miniscule it’s already accounted for in the budget. The thief gets a promotion and a raise.
